Georgetown (3 hrs)

A really wonderful neighbourhood to walk around or hang out is Georgetown. The primary commercial corridors of Georgetown are M Street and Wisconsin Avenue, which contain high-end shops, bars, and restaurants.

From unique boutiques to recognizable international brands, Georgetown offers an array of contemporary retailers sure to suit most every style. With over 100 restaurants representing over 50 ethnicities, Georgetown graciously represents the exciting communities and cultures that make the neighbourhood so rich.

And there’s a nightlife for every preference, upscale urban lounges, vibrant bars, quaint low-key hangouts, or sophisticated jazz clubs, Georgetown has the perfect venue to mix and mingle with travellers from around the world and local residents from around the corner.

There is no Metro station in Georgetown. Three stations are located roughly one mile (1.6 km) from the centre of Georgetown: Rosslyn (across the Key Bridge in Arlington), Foggy Bottom-GWU, and Dupont Circle. Georgetown is served by the 30-series, D-Series, and G2 metro busses as well as the DC Circulator.
